We are grateful for all who financially support the work of Nanaimo Alliance Church. May God bless you as you participate in His kingdom with the resources He has provided!
There are five fund designations to choose from if you wish to apply your donation to a specific category. Undesignated giving or a donation marked for something outside of these categories will default to the General Fund, which supports all internal ministries and operations of NAC as required.
General Fund: This fund is used to directly support Nanaimo Alliance church: heat the building, pay the staff and fix the roof. And buy coffee – can’t forget the coffee. It is also used to fund outreach and church activities such as the Community BBQ and our NAC Christmas Breakfast.
Global Advance Fund (GAF): This fund supports all of our international (global missions) and national (national office/denominational ministries) work in The Alliance Canada. Twice a year we hold a special week-long missions offering focusing on this fund.
Canadian Ministries (CM): Goes to the district to support ministry and initiatives in our district (BC and the Yukon). This includes things like church planting, training for pastors and leaders, providing resources, ministry partnerships, etc.
Community Care Fund: This fund supports various agencies we partner with in Nanaimo, as well as meeting needs within our church family and, occasionally, the community. We hold special week-long offerings twice a year for this fund as well, in the summer and December.
Kingdom New Ventures. This is a NAC-based fund used for outreach. Current activities include exploring new ministry opportunities on Gabriola Island, but future uses are envisioned as seed for church planting and like activities.
The following giving methods are available at NAC:
IN PERSON GIVING:
Cash or cheques can be brought on Sundays or dropped off/mailed to the church office. Please make cheques payable to Nanaimo Alliance Church and include your giving number, if applicable, as well as fund designation(s) in the memo section. We do not take an offering during our services, rather there is an offering box located on the back wall of the auditorium where you can place your offering at any time.
ONLINE GIVING:
Interac eTransfer
Interac eTransfer is a simple, convenient, and secure way to send and receive money directly from one bank account to another. All you need is access to online or mobile banking through a participating financial institution, and you can send money to anyone with an email address or mobile phone number and a bank account in Canada — without sharing any personal or financial information. It’s a great alternative to cheques and cash.
How do I complete an Interac eTransfer?
Step 1: Login into your bank account online.
Step 2: Locate Interac eTransfer, usually found in the Transfer/Payments menu.
Step 3: Fill in the following Interac e-Transfer information accordingly:
a) Add "Nanaimo Alliance Church" as a new recipient using etransfer@nanaimoalliance.com (NOTE: There is no dash in "etransfer")
b) Include your name and envelope/tax receipt number (if you have one) in the Memo area of your eTransfer, and indicate if you wish your funds to go to a specific fund as outlined in the opening paragraph.
b) Nanaimo Alliance Church uses "auto-deposit," meaning the funds are transferred immediately without the need for a security question or password. **If your bank does not confirm money has been accepted via immediate confirmation message or email, or you receive an email after several days stating the funds have not been accepted/deposited, please check that the recipient email address was entered correctly.
